My Peace Corps Experience in Mali and Burkina Faso, West Africa

DONKEY STAMPEDE!!!!!

….through the village while my host dad and I were eating our porridge yesterday morning. Absolute chaos ensued…adults screaming at children to move, children just screaming, and six or seven evil, sadistic donkeys making that awful braying noise that sounds like they are being beheaded as the gallop fearlessly and gallantly through the village, knocking over many a cooking pot and millet pile and sending many a terrified 3 year old running into the the closest hut.

(there is really nothing further to say about this, just thought I would point out a little of the ridiculousness that is my life :-) ).
